Where to Stay in Patong, Phuket
Are you planning a trip to exotic Thailand? If so, then there are probably many places that you already want to visit. From staying in one of many Silom hotels and experiencing the booming nightlife of Bangkok to enjoying the natural wonders of Doi Inthanon, the highest peak in Thailand, which is located just outside of Chiang Mai, the country provides a large variety of amazing places to go and things to do. However, if you haven’t thought about including a visit to Phuket as part of your travel plans, maybe you should. Phuket is Thailand’s largest island and contains many:

If you decide to visit Phuket, then you will have to decide on an area to stay in. You may want to schedule a few nights in different locations around the island. However, you will probably want to pencil in at least a night or two in Phuket’s Patong area. Patong is a bustling area on the west side of the island, which provides:

From five-star hotel suites to cheap dorm-style accommodations for backpackers, the array of housing options in the area is quite vast. However, you might want to consider staying in a hotel that is in a central location. A central location will provide convenient access to all the area’s activities and must-see attractions.
Lodging with an Attached Restaurant and Bar
You might also want to book a hotel that has an attached bar and restaurant. While you will almost certainly leave the premises of your hotel during your time in Patong, it is always nice to have the option of staying in. After all, at some point during your time in the area you will likely be exhausted by all the things to see and do in Patong. Furthermore, having a restaurant and bar attached to your hotel provides a great location to meet other guests and travellers. As such, having a home base with food and refreshing beverages is something you might want to ensure.
Affordable Lodging in Patong
Thailand’s lodging options can be extremely expensive or extremely cheap. From Silom hotels in Bangkok to bamboo huts in Koa Phi Phi, the traveller to Thailand can find almost any type of lodging. The same is true in Patong. However, you certainly don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to find quality accommodations in a great location within the area. There are many affordable guest houses and hotels that offer an array of amenities to meet their guests’ needs, such as air conditioning, private bathrooms with hot and cold water and Wi-Fi, etc.
